Genia Technologies is a nanopore based sequencing company dedicated to making genetic testing easy and affordable. We are developing a revolutionary, low cost DNA/RNA reader that will improve the lives of people in a variety of applications. These include the diagnosis of cancers and infectious diseases, non-invasive prenatal testing, matching the right drug to the right patient (PGx) and identification of genetic diseases. At the heart of Genia’s technology is a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) built on standard CMOS process technology. Genia’s IC and proprietary NanoTag chemistry will make genetic information universally available, significantly improving the way healthcare is practiced today.
Genia Technologies was founded in March of 2009 and is headquartered in Mountain View, California. Genia was acquired by Roche in June of 2014.
